What Are Technical Translations?
Technical translations are generally translations of a wide range of technology, legal and financial documentation, IT, engineering, and medical material, such as technical specifications, investment, construction, technological or research and development documentation, manuals, safety data sheets, declarations of conformity and certificates, patent descriptions, open competition documents, construction calculations, etc. Depending on the field, technical translations can also include translations of marketing material.
What Is The Difference Between Technical And Standard Translations?
Technical translations can be said to differ from standard texts in the same way that standard texts differ from highly specialized texts – in terms of subject coverage, vocabulary purpose, and addressee.
