What is Post-Editing and When is It Needed?
Post-editing consists of reviewing and correcting machine translations. There are two types of post-editing that one could choose. The first one, light post-editing, involves organizing the text in a way that it could be comprehended in a consistent and effortless manner. The second type of post-editing is full post-editing, after which the text is of high enough quality to be published.
How Does Machine Translation Work?
Neural machine translation, or NMT, is a new way of approaching translation. The goal was to combine all parts of the system into a network that works in a similar way as a neural net found in the human brain. This technology allows creating databases for future translations using previous texts. The process is similar to how the human brain learns new information.
